The billboard music awards which was held on the 14th of october saw alot of celebrities walking home with lots of awards. The show had performance from the likes of Sia, Brandy, swea lea, Doja cat and many more. 

The virtual award show was hosted by kelly clarkson who brought her own star power and it was marvelous.

Here is a list of the winner of the 2020 billboard music awards.

1. Killer mike took home the award for "Billboard change maker".


2. Garth Brooks took home the "Icon Awards".

3. Bad bunny bagged two awards for top latin artist and top latin album. 
4. Billie Eilish took home three awards for Top new artist, Top female artist and billboard  200 album.
5. Panic at the disco won top rock artist and top rock song.
6. Pink won top touring artist.
7. Harry stiles took home the billboard chart achievement award.
8. BTS won best social artist
9. Lauren Diagle won top christian artist.

The protest which aims to curb the excesses of the police unit known as SARS had a huge success as it got donations from sources outside the country and within.  The protest called out the SARs unit for acting way past their boundary and for brutally killing and harassing young nigerians.  The youths all went out massively in support of the protest.
